  2. Write down the Hamiltonian for a uranium atom. Use summation notation and give all summation indices explicitly.
  3. In the NMR experiment recently carried out in the lab, the rate constant tex2html_wrap_inline20 was obtained from the relation

    by plotting the quantity on the left-hand side of the equation (call it y) against the delay time t. Suppose that you wanted to add error bars to your graph. You would then need to know tex2html_wrap_inline28 , the error in y. Suppose that tex2html_wrap_inline32 , tex2html_wrap_inline34 (with a negligible error) and compute y and tex2html_wrap_inline28 .
