NOVEL THERAPY FOR MANAGING WALKING DIFFICULTIES IN PARKINSON'S DISEASE: Exploring the effect of music
In a joint collaboration with the University of Calgary and Dalhousie University, Dr. Brown and her colleagues are exploring the possibility that music can be used to activate walking in people with Parkinson’s Disease. The outcome of this work is directed toward development of adjunct therapies for managing the difficulties that people with Parkinson’s disease experience during walking. This research project was recently featured in Parkinson Post.
