About Lesley Brown

Lesley Brown

Dr. Brown is the Associate Vice President (Research) at the University of Lethbridge and a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology. Dr Brown joined the University of Lethbridge in 1997 as an Assistant Professor. She received tenure and promotion to Associate Professor in 2003, and was promoted to the rank of Full Professor in 2009. Dr. Brown teaches courses in Human Anatomy and Motor Control. Her research specialty focuses on the control of balance in the elderly and in people with Parkinson’s Disease.

Outside of the University, Lesley enjoys an active lifestyle that includes training and competing in triathlons, skiing, as well as fly-fishing the rivers of Southern Alberta and British Columbia with her dog, Ty.
