I was born and raised on the Atlantic coast, in Nova Scotia. I completed my B.Sc. in Biology at Mount Allison University in Sackville NB and then moved on to the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton NB where I completed my M.Sc. in Sport and Exercise Science and Ph.D. in the Faculty of Science. From 2001-2003, I worked in the College of Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon as a Research Assistant and Lecturer. I finished my Ph.D. in 2003 and then moved to Alberta to take my current position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Lethbridge.
