JAMS Club
About JAMS Meetings

Club showings are free to everyone!  If you enjoy attending the meetings, you can show your support by becoming a club member.

There is a regular club showing every Monday, starting at about 5:30 p.m. and generally lasting until about 9:30.  Meetings are at the University of Lethbridge in random rooms.  There are no club meetings on statutory holidays or if the University is closed for any other reason.  In the event of an equipment failure, the club meeting will be relocated.

During our weekly meetings, we explore Japanese animation through TV shows, video series, and the occasional short film.  Because Japanese animation is often story-based, we generally show an entire series in order, with one episode per week.

Scheduling: Why do you show Series Y?

As stated in our Club Objectives, we try to challenge the "anime genre" stereotype. Japanese animation is a medium, not a genre, therefore we try to schedule a wide selection of anime available to us whether it be commerical or otherwise.  Not all of series may be to everyone's liking but "variety is the spice of life"!  We want to expand your perceptions of what anime is.
