What Exactly is the Executive?

The Executive is a group of anime fans and JAMS members that have taken upon themselves to govern the way JAMS is run.  They are responsible for maintaining the club's status with the Student's Union so that we may use their facilities as well as attempting to gain funds.

The Executive's major responsiblity is to ensure the smooth operation of the club.  That means running our regular meetings and special events, purchasing tapes for the library, pulling fansubs from the library (please don't sue us!) and in general, keeping Lethbridge Anime fans happy!

This isn't exactly easy work that's why the Exec relies on a support staff.  Consisting of Librarians, Public Relations, and the Webmaster, these folks work hard at keeping the library running smoothly when you come to borrow tapes.  The webmaster is also responsible for maintaining the site you're currently viewing, it's content and hopely making it pleasant to the eye.  Also the Public Relation/Chief Returning Officer responsible are to advertise the club and its events, and to organize, run and tally the election results.

How Do I Get in on This?

Every year near the end of our Spring Session, we hold our elections.  There is a brief nomination period before the election where anyone who is a member of the Student Union (University of Lethbridge student) and a JAMS member.  Nominiations and elections are announced at the meetings as well as posted to the website.  Talk to a current Executive and get your name down and what position you'd like to be.
