GENERALIZABILITY OF TECHNOLOGY ACCEPTANCE
RESEARCH USING
STUDENT SUBJECTS
Students represent a convenient pool from which to draw research
subjects in many research areas, including IS. Yet using students as a
proxy for the population of interest has drawn criticism in Marketing
and Psychology. This study compares data from undergraduates (BComm),
MBA students, and alumni from a university, and finds differences in
the means and variances of constructs from the Theory of Planned
Behaviour, and the conclusions drawn from structural equation
modeling.
