Office Hours (Fall 2008)
I will be holding the following office hours this semester:
- Mondays, 2-3 pm;
- Tuesdays, By appointment;
- Wednesdays, 3-4 pm;
- Thursdays, 10am-11 am.
- Fridays, 10am-11am; 2pm-3pm.

Office Hours (Spring 2007)
Office hours for students in my English 3901 course are
- Tuesdays and Thursdays: 1 pm – 2 pm
- Wednesdays: 11 am – 12 pm
As department chair I also hold general drop-in office hours from 10:00 – 10:30 am every weekday.

Office Hours (Fall 2006)
Office hours for students in my English 3450 course are Mondays and Thursdays from 10:30-11:30 or by appointment.
As department chair I also hold general drop-in office hours from 10:00-10:30 every weekday. Students who cannot make these times are encouraged to contact me or the department administrator, Beah Ramtej, for appointment.

Pre-Submission Checklist for Essays
You can use the following list to check that your essay meets the minimum requirements for your course. I will deduct a minimum of 1/3 of a letter grade from essays that do not meet applicable standards set out here; in serious cases I reserve the right to assign a greater penalty. Most of the points mentioned here are discussed in greater detail below. If you do not understand what a particular standard means, you should consult the MLA Handbook, Chicago Manual of Style, relevant sections of this web-site, or come and see me.
