This is a continuation of my notes for "Calculus".

Yesterday I began the exercises for section 1.4. I will continue this this morning.

14. . Working with pen&paper, I evaluated this to be 1/4. Mathematica confirmed this.

15. Limit does not exist as the right and left limits are different. Mathematica agrees.

16. Limit does not exist as the right and left limits are different. Mathematica agrees.

17.

This is giving me a lot of difficulty. I do not see what form I want to move toward. Frustration is the main feeling, but this is not very constructive. 8:30 am

Here are the results using Mathematica (Web, Mathematica). 8:30 am

Reflection: I am comfortable with the ideas, but not with some of the exercises.

Difficulties: I am running into some problems that I think have to do with basic algebraic manipulations.
