Citation Style Guide: [ pdf document *] A brief document to help you in preparing footnotes and bibliographies for your research papers is available here [pdf format*]. In the past, I allowed students to use whatever citation style they were comfortable with. However, from Jan. 2003 onwards, I am making it mandatory that you use the Turabian citation method (Footnotes/Bibliography). It is based on the Chicago manual of style and is widely used in the Faculty of Fine Arts. A brief guide (in pdf format) is available at the top of this paragraph or you can consult copies in the UofL Library: Turabian, Kate L. A manual for writers of term papers, theses,
and dissertations.
