Here I am traveling with Mike.  It seems this is a 1600 k ride out of Medicine Hat with the Pronghorn Riders.  This shot is along the Banff -Jasper Parkway.  Note the rain gloves on the seat.  The gear went on between Banff and Lake Louise and stayed on until Camrose.  We stayed overnight in Camrose. We had a couple of rums in Camrose.  It RAIINED  in Camrose.  That was the only time that I can remember, when it was raining so hard that I could not see the guages of the bike!  The visor was not fogged, it was raining that hard.  It only lasted for about 2 k just west of Camrose, but that was that for the night.  I'm not going anywhere with Mike again!
This is also VGER.  At least the license plate is.  I did name the bike after the 'Star Trek The Movie'.  That's the one about the 'Voyager' space craft that we actually did send out into deep space.  It's just that in the movie, it came back.  Well, I figured this 82 GS 1100 is about as old, it does make decent power, and it does keep bringing me back home.  At this point, it has been slightly retired, (getting rebuilt) and so the plate has gone onto the new GSXR 1100.  It's not as old, it has way more power, and so far it gets me back home.  Below is a shot of the reincarnated VGER.

Well, if this isn't one of the best looking combinations in town!  I know, some people would bet that the Suzuki would float in the lake, then not worry about the dollar bet!  Yeah, I need to get a better quality of friend.
But, this is old me and the old 97 GSXR 1100.  I must be getting old,  I wanted to go sport touring then forgot the second part of that when I bought the bike.  Well, it's a 97, in calendar years it's only 3 years old, in technology years, it's about 40!  But then again, I'm no spring chicken either.  I like the mix though, if I want to go faster, I just throw another log on the warp drive!  "Beam me up Scotty, there's no inteligent life on this planet".

Just a backyard loading photo.  This is the 82 GS 1100 undergoing mule training.  First the saddle bags, then the pack on the back seat, then the tank bag.  Just a typical 3 day weekend for me.  Some of my friends are concerned that a couple of my weekends have totaled 3900k.  Maybe I should travel with a map?
