You recognize the dealer from high school
and he asks who is square and who is not
claiming two quick rails will make you feel cool
So Jim says “well sure then what do you got”
Jim calls stripes and laughs, still holding his cue
And the dealer goes all you kids just wait
Signs buzz and balls clack but it's nothing new
Night found you here. It's getting way too late
The waitress says “you can't bring that in here”
and the man begs “but please give me a chance.”
Tips his glass and explains the snuck-in beer.
She yells “too bad” and gives the door a glance
You take your shot and think it's all the same
The friend who's gone, left you to scratch this game
