Night
I feel so tiny
The sky has come
Black, velvet ink.
A huge goddess
Drapes her cloak
Desperate.
For meaning
(No end, no beginning).
The stars
Like tiny white souls
So far away
Scattered in the
Vast wonder of
Darkness
Oh God, I could fly forever
And never see all the beauty!
What a wonder,
What a great escape,
The night sky
Which lulls me to sleep,
Which tempts me to dream,
Who comforts, who soothes
With a colourless world
Of angels.
